Biography Ichiru is typically pretty calm and collected - can be charming to a point. Though he is still something of a brat especially when it concerns his older brother. With his parents, Ichiru tends to be the problem child and often has disagreements with them but does get along well enough to actually have conversations with them. Because he isn't as weak as he is in canon, he has less issue with being inferior to his brother and with Shizuka out of the picture completely - has yet to actually sympathize with her. Yet is also pretty empathetic and able to sense the good and kindness in people. There is a genuine kindness in Ichiru but also a bit of cruelty, just less than it is in canon. He will still lightly manipulate someone into doing things but not to the extent it would be otherwise. He's more social than Zero and has no problem chatting random strangers, and is extremely expressive in comparison to his older twin. Though forming an actual connection with Ichiru is still somewhat difficult as his brother is the most important person in his life and he will absolutely drop everything to be with Zero - including most people. Ichiru is very open and carefree in the presence of his brother, having a better relationship with him this time around. He's smart and has areas he excells in though is not nearly as good at everything the way Zero is. Ichiru is more of a team player than his brother but if something required pairs, would absolutely choose his twin over someone else if at all possible. At times, he does still feel inferior to Zero and that his parents think/feel the same but he's gotten better at managing that in non-violent ways. As he's grown older and he stopped getting sick as much, that has helped with that side of him despite the fact that he will always be the weaker twin. Still, Ichiru sometimes works twice as hard as his brother to become stronger. IN-GAME HISTORY: Everything for Ichiru is the same as in canon up until the moment he would have met Shizuka. That's when things diverge and things go the happy route. While Ichiru still overhears his parents talking about how he's less than Zero, he throws himself into training harder in order to prove them wrong. He didn't talk about it with anyone until finally his brother made him. After that talk with Zero, Ichiru started having conversations (sometimes arguements) with his parents about the things he wants and doesn't want in comparison to their expectations of him. It's put a light strain on their relationship but is a whole lot better than what happened canonly. In AU world, Ichiru is not as sick as he is in canon and was able to sometimes train along with Zero for the most part. However he was still bedridden at times which put him behind his brother so when Zero went off to Cross Academy for school, Ichiru stayed behind to train some more with Yagari. Over the course of the last few years, Ichiru became stronger as a hunter but also spread his talents into areas that didn't mean killing such as learning to play intrustments (piano and violin) and learning new languages. All while still being homeschooled and often coming to see Zero when his twin had time off. Now, several years later he's joined Cross Academy in the Day Class and has been at the school for a little over a year. Despite being separate, he and Zero still find time to hang out on the weekends and always partner up during home ec class.
